Each Fortune 500 company's homepage was loaded in a rendering browser between 27 and 29 September 2026, and the HTML, script URLs and cookies were matched against Installmap's fingerprint rules with `scrapers/detect.py`. 469 of the 500 domains returned a page; the other 31 are left out of every share.

An analytics tool is any fingerprint in Installmap's Analytics category except tag managers (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Tealium) and performance monitoring (Akamai mPulse, Dynatrace, Pingdom RUM, SpeedCurve, Azure Application Insights). A tag manager is a loader for other tools, and monitoring tools measure page speed, not visitors.

Google Universal Analytics counts when the page loads `google-analytics.com/analytics.js` or `ga.js`, requests `gtag/js` with a `UA-` property id, or calls `ga('create', 'UA-...')`.

The count is what the homepage loads on a first visit with no consent given. Tools that a tag manager fires only after a consent click, or only on other pages, are not seen, so every count here is a lower bound.
